Professional Cleanings

Removal of bacterial plaque and calculus (sometimes referred to as tartar).

We all have bacteria that live in our mouth.  They live off of the sugars in our diet and leave their waste on our teeth and gums.  Periodically, this build-up needs to be professionally removed by a registered hygienist or a dentist.  In our office this is usually done every 6 months and coincides with an examination of the teeth and gums.
